Teddy's Ice Cream has issued a statement amid concerns for the fate of the 99 ice cream this summer.
FM104's Strawberry Alarm Clock weekdays 6 am - 10 am.
A recent report in the Irish Times suggested that Ireland could see a shortage of Flakes this summer, with company Mondalez revealing it had seen an 'increase in demand' for the product.
Now, a Yazmine Khan of Teddy's Ice Cream has spoken out about the shortage, confirming it was an issue but reassuring customers they're ok for the time being.
Yazmine told Jim-Jim and Nobby on FM104's Strawberry Alarm Clock "They are in shortage. We still have Flakes because we've been stockpiling so we have plenty at the moment, but I'd say by maybe the end of June that people will start to see that they can't get a 99 or they can only get a 99 with something else in it."
